Overall, it was a great episode to watch, and I can’t wait to see what’s going to happen next. However, those offenders seem to have some crazy personalities that I’m gonna love to watch (especially the big-boobed doctor). The main female character is just an ordinary girl who ended up getting mixed in with Japan’s biggest criminals. The characters also seem interesting enough. Sure, you can see the difference between the two types of animation, but I don’t mind it since both are well done.

I also think that the more traditional and more technological animation is well mixed. 7.3 (2,294) Akudama Drive is a brand new anime television series that aired in October 2020 on Japanese television network AT-X. I’m not sure how the story is going to develop (episode 1 was more about introducing the characters, after all), but I was blown away by the animation.Īkudama Drive’s plot is set in a cyber punk-ish world, and the environment really displays that well. I’m happy to say that episode 1 not only met all my expectations, but it actually surpassed them. Akudama Drive was one of the Anime titles I was looking forward to the most this Fall season. Many years ago, a Great Civil War ravaged Japan, leaving the country fragmented between two regions: Kansai and Kanto.
